The Code of Practice for Worksite Safety – Traffic Management 2010 update was Gazetted on 31st August 2010 and signed off by Minister for Roads and Ports Mr Tim Pallas. The Code of Practice is effective from 1st September 2010. The purpose of the Code is to provide practical guidance to any person conducting, or proposing to conduct, any works on a road in Victoria.
The Code is intended to
- establish and maintain a standardised approach to conduct works on roads (whether on the roadway or roadside)
- and protect the safety of road users and persons engaged in the carrying out of such works
