Engineers Australia and the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia (IPWEA) are convening a 1 1/2 day debrief session to be held at Echuca on Tuesday 15th March and Wednesday 16th March 2011 to enable Local Government Engineers in particular, and other Regional operatives, to discuss the events of the January Floods. The aim of this forum is to facilitate joint input into how these events in various Local Government areas were managed and how we can all learn from each other’s experiences.

Download the program here.

Both Engineers Australia and IPWEA consider that the significant events that we have all experienced during January and in previous months have shown some issues went well and others need improvement. It is the intent of this forum for a Communiqué to be drafted for all to benefit from this event, for future events.
