The IPWEAvic Event Calendar for 2010 is now available.
The Board has designed events throughout 2010 to promote professional development and networking for public works practitioners. The events encompass conferences, seminars, technical tours, training programs, technical presentations providing opportunities for upgrading of technical skills, furthering knowledge on topical issues, and networking with industry peers.

David Sutcliffe is representing IPWEAvic on the Local Government Procurement Reform Reference Group. This group will play a key reference role in the development of next phase of DPCD LG procurement reform and will provide advice and insight on the components of the reform package. The group also includes representatives from State and Local Government and industry/sector peak bodies. Click here for an overview of the group

The Civil Construction TRG will meet on Friday 5 March 2010 at City of Casey Council Chambers between 2:30pm and 5pm.
Mr Mark Whalen from GHD Consultants will present on the new Infrastructure Engineering Design and Construction Manual for growth area residential development. Professor Jay Sanjayan of Swinburne University and Thomas Kuen from Melbourne Water will present on Low Carbon Concrete.
