Expressions of Interest are sought from councils that would like to be part of the Expert Support Program: Social Procurement

To be eligible to apply, interested councils must:
• be able to commit to the time required to participate in the project
• attend regular meetings
• be project-ready and willing to commence the project development as early as December 2010
• have support from all the areas of council required to complete the project.

Submissions are due by Thursday, 11 November 2010.

Local Government Victoria invites you to participate in the Sustainable Procurement Working Group planned for Friday 29 October 2010 9:30am – 11:30pm Level8/55 Collins St Melbourne Vic 3000.

The purpose of the group is to guide and inform how local governments in Victoria can better achieve positive social, environmental and local economic outcomes through procurement, as it relates to the roll-out of the Procurement Excellence Program.
