NAMS. PLUS Workshop – “a guided pathway to sustainable asset management” – is coming to Melbourne 24-25 May 2010 and 24-25 June 2010.  These workshops are a great way to obtain tools and guidance to assist organisations to write their own asset management plans

State Government is gradually moving towards requiring long term financial plans founded on sound asset management plans to demonstrate financial sustainability. It is good practice to commence your planning as early as possible.

The NAMS.PLUS training program provides the tools to up-skill  staff to assist and encourage them to develop their first Asset Management Plan based on a ‘core’ or ‘advanced’ approach. NAMS.PLUS provides a series of templates, workshops, guidelines in the form of a comprehensive eBook, online modelling, help desk forum and newsletters.

Participants enrol in a series of 4 x 1-day workshops (Blocks) spaced a few months apart, to take them through the NAMS.PLUS program. Tasks are set for completion between workshops.  The topics covered in the 4 building blocks include:

  • Block 1 – Asset Management Planning and Data Asset Register data, Condition assessment and remaining/useful life review template, Asset Management Plan (AMP) template.
