The Roads Australia Forum is to occur on Tuesday 3 August 2010.  The meeting is aimed at CEO’s and senior executives from companies and industry associations.  The participants are briefed on the national state of play by the industry’s key decision makers.

    NATSPEC is holding a seminar in Melbourne on Tuesday 3 August 9:30-11:30 on Specifications: Overview, Production and Word Processing. 

    This semiar provides a brief introduction to specification writing and covers the detailed use of SPECbuilder Live. It will also cover features of Microsoft Word 2007 as it applies to specification writing and using NATSPEC. This seminar is suitable for new specification writers and those wanting to learn more about SPECbuilder.

    CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

    In accordance with Section 6 of its Constitution, an election is to be held for the Board of Directors of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia Victoria Division, for the term 2010 – 2012.  All members of the current Board of Directors must retire at the IPWEA (victoria division) 2010 Annual General Meeting, but they are eligible to stand for re-election for the ensuring two-year term.  

    All financial members of the IPWEA (victoria division) are eligible to stand for election.

    Nominations are called for the position of Director on the IPWEA(victoria division) Board.  Eleven positions are available.

    The Nomination Form must be used for this purpose and can be downloaded by clicking here.  For a nomination to be acceptable, this form must be completed, signed by the nominee and two other financial members of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Victoria Division.

    Duly completed Nomination Forms are to be lodged with the Returning Officer at IPWEA(victoria division) by 

    4:00pm on Wednesday 14th July 2010

    The results of the election will be declared at the Annual General Meeting of IPWEA (victoria division) to be held in October 2010. Details of the date, venue and time of this meeting will be advised shortly.
